No Spread Chicken Sandwich

Garlic Mayo, cheese mayo, mint mayo, tandoori mayo... The list goes on and on. There is an endless number of spreads out there in the market. Some are really delicious. But, a conscious mother who would want to think twice before serving a Mayo-filled Sandwich to her budding toddler, probably switches to other healthy alternates. Homemade Pesto spread or yogurt-based spreads are ideal choices over tinned mayonnaise. However, you can add Your favorite sauces/spreads while preparing this sandwich.
This is absolutely an Indianized sandwich made with Capsicum and chicken. You can make the stuffing with any stir-fried vegetables or sauteed Mushrooms to make it a wholesome meal.

Ingredients

  • 10 Slices Bread
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 250 Gms Chicken
  • 3 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil
  • Cheese as required
  • 1 Tsp Chili powder
  • 1 Tsp Pepper powder
  • Salt

Instructions

  • Heat a pan with Olive oil and start roasting Chicken and Capsicum. Slice chicken into thin pieces. So that it gets cooked faster and retains its tenderness.
  • Along with this sprinkle spice powders like paprika or chili powder, Salt, and pepper.
  • Take a slice of bread and add some butter on a side and place some amount of chicken stuffing and some grated cheese. Just toast both the sides of the bread on butter.
