It is quick to make dessert when unexpectedly attacked by hunger pangs. Sugar craving is something normal as long as it doesn't strike more often. This recipe is tried during one such instance and surprisingly became our favorite dessert. Although this dessert is prepared effortlessly, it assuredly satiates the sweet craving and keeps the starvation at bay.

Ingredients
3/4CupJaggery powder
11/2CupWater
1/2CupGhee
10Cashew whole
3/4CupWheat flour
1 /2TspCardamom powder
Instructions
Firstly, Take the jaggery powder in a saucepan and add water.
Bring it to a bowl and remove it from the stove. It doesn't have to be in any particular consistency. Strain and keep it ready.
Take half of the ghee in a pan and allow it to melt.
Add the cashews and roast them nicely to a golden brown.
Remove cashews from the ghee. Now add the wheat flour to the remaining ghee.
Toast the wheat flour well until you get a nice aroma from the toasted wheat flour.
Add the jaggery syrup to the wheat flour and mix well.
keep the flame on low and add jaggery syrup little by little to prevent lump formation.
Add a tablespoon of ghee from the remaining 1/4 cup in a frequent interval. The halwa gets ready in 5 to 8 minutes.
When you see smooth and silkier halwa, add the roasted cashews and serve hot.
Notes
Adding cardamom powder is optional. If you like its flavour in halwa you can add it.
